- The land was owned jointly with his brother Joseph and their wives Isabelle and Eliza. In 1807 ownership was transferred to Carman R. Lush. (Suffolk County Deed Liber 609, page 370-372.) [I suspect that Carman Lush had a connection to the Carman family of Hempstead. See Carman Lush.]
