There is an ambiguity in the Oaklawn cemetery records because of a notation which reads: "Charles F. Darling-not here in Mattie Rose Darling" Inscriptions for both Mattie and Charles F. may be found on the obelisk. No other grave site for Charles F. and Mattie has been identified.
